Location and history

Białogard is located on the river Parsęta in northern West Pomerania with approx. 33 km north to the Baltic Sea and approx. 30 km to the nearest major city, namely Koszalin to the northeast. – The city was already mentioned by the anonymous chronicler Gallus Anonymus, who as the first historian described Poland in the early 1100s.
